The Dallas/Fort Worth Search Engine Marketing Association, www.dfwsem.org, is celebrating its first anniversary this month by holding its February meeting on Monday, February 21st, 2005 in North Dallas. The February meeting will feature a discussion about Web Analytics, and Dennis Hart from ClickTracks (www.clicktracks.com) will be on hand to discuss analytics strategies for paid and organic search.
Many marketers may think that being in the top position for their search engine keywords is enough, but they aren't making the money they could be. Web analytics can help anyone, especially marketers, with more than improving site navigation or testing before and after a campaign. Understanding what keywords users are finding your site under can save effort and generate more revenue for in the long run.
The Dallas/Fort Worth Search Engine Marketing Association was founded in February 2004 by local search engine marketing experts whose goal is to promote search engine marketing industry and increased Return on Investment (ROI) for North Texas companies and their websites through search engine marketing best practices.
"It is important to have a local organization that can be called upon to provide education and guidance in the often confusing search engine marketing landscape," said John Sanchez, President and CEO of Zunch Communications and the current President of DFWSEM. "As an organization, DFWSEM's job is to help businesses make sense of that landscape in order to make the right decision for their company in regards to its search engine marketing needs. We want local companies to understand that search engine marketing works, and when done right, will increase your bottom line."
Along with the celebration of one year in existence, the Dallas/Fort Worth Search Engine Marketing Association will hold nominations for seven available seats on the organization's Board at the February 21st meeting. Official voting for those seats will begin at the March, 2005 meeting.
