Wow, I didn't know that MSN where playing with only 8%. I though it was way higher than that, considering how big Microsoft is!
These numbers are definitely more inline with what I've been seeing across sites and clients. It's a Google world...
I've never heard anyone ever use the term: "ask it" or even "msn it" but "Google it" is as recognised these days as "would you like fries with that?"
Google has pretty much won the market in much the same way as Microsoft has with software. It's gonna take a massive change to get another search engine close.
Reflects my experience perfectly. Although I believe your personal results depend on the niche you inhabit.
I wrote and article, it's expected that Google will loose its position in a couple of years, but I don't think so... and according to your statistics the situation is almost opporsite.
The numbers for my sem/web analytics blog favour Google even more, towards 80%...
