Originally launched as a meta crawler in 1999, GenieKnows aggregates 24 different search feeds and serves about 180 million searches per month. The company launched a PPV (Pay-per-visit) advertising program last fall and allows users to bid on keyword phrases across the GenieKnows network of sites as well as launching their first toolbar offering earlier this spring.
The redesign aims to present a cleaner, more user-friendly interface for searchers and advertisers alike. "The new face of GenieKnows.com marks the beginning of a series of new and exciting ventures for us. We are currently involved in industry-leading research with several Canadian universities that is certain to change the face of Internet search as we know it" explained Barbara Manning, President of IT Interactive Services.
