The Summer 2005 Search Engine Strategies conference kicked off this morning at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center with five simultaneous tracks of sessions covering everything from search marketing fundamentals to in-depth behavioral search targeting. This year's show is one of the largest Search Engine Strategies events ever and for those attending, or looking to keep up with the show from home, there are several great resources worth bookmarking.

Search Engine Strategies Site

The Search Engine Strategies event site has all the information you'll need about conference sessions, schedules and even hotel information for those looking to head out at the last minute. You can also find quick access to the day's sessions at the conference at a glance page.

Search Engine Watch Forum Coverage Search Engine Roundtable's Barry Swartz will be cloning himself yet again this year in order to provide non-stop coverage of almost every session offered. (Well, actually, I hear he has a team of folks working with him, but still...) A running thread at the Search Engine Watch forums will feature links to each sessions' coverage. Search Engine Watch forum members can subscribe to the thread and receive email updates as soon as new session information is posted. You can also pick up Barry's team coverage of Search Engine Strategies at the .

Web Search at About.com Wendy Boswell, the guide to Web Search at About.com is attending the event and will be providing coverage of the sessions that she attends. You'll be able to keep up with her perspective on the conference at her blog: http://websearch.about.com/.

Live Coverage at WebProWorld

WebProWorld has a few reporters on the ground that will be covering the show. They also have a forum dedicated to the San Jose event. The forum is the easiest way to pick up links to any new stories and gives you a chance to discuss any new announcements or studies that come out of the show.

Party Coverage

Joe Morin from Boost Search Marketing is keeping a great up-to-date list of all the after-hours events and parties over at the Search Engine Watch forums. If you're here in San Jose and you missed out on the fun at Great America and Studio 8 last night, be sure to check out the listings so that you don't get left out of tonight's Google Dance or tomorrow's Webmaster Radio bash.

If you're a Search Engine Guide reader and you're attending the conference, be sure to look me up and say "hello." You'll find me in the wifi lounge during the day wearing my spiffy new Search Engine Guide shirts...or you can catch me after the Pimp My Site session on Wednesday or the Site Clinic session on Thursday.
