Since it's clearly not enough for one group of search marketers to pit their skills against each other, yet another SEM contest has popped up this month offering up buku bucks in exchange for optimization skill and prowess. (Ok, ok, they're paying off the person that can gather the most links...) Not one to be outdone by the folks at V7N, CarCasher.com has decided to toot their own horn with a second search marketing contest for the phrase carcasherdotcom seocontest that promises even more money to the winner.

Offering up $14,000, a 42" plasma screen TV a Sony PSP and the always present iPod, CarCasher.com has structured their payouts a little different than the teams at V7N and Club Boser. The contest starts today and runs until the end of the year with prizes being given out monthly for the first place listing on Google ($500 cash), Yahoo! ($200 cash) and MSN ($100 cash). At the end of the year, the Google winner will get another lump payment of $3000 along with a 42" plasma screen TV. Yahoo!'s winner will get $2000 plus a Sony PSP and the MSN winner will snag $1000 and an iPod.

The rules of the carcasherdotcom seocontest game:

# No dirty SEO techniques! (read Google Webmaster Guidelines)

SEO's caught using any of the following: doorway pages, spam, hidden links, etc. WILL NOT qualify for the prize, and the prize will go to the next best SEO.

# Every website HAS TO HAVE an email address published ON THAT SITE so that nobody else can claim your prizes.

# We will pay prizes through PayPal, Money Order or CC, whichever applicable.

# In order to qualify for the prize, a web page must include ONE of the following:
a) link to the rules of the contest http://www.carcasher.com/SEOContest/, OR
b) link to the www.carcasher.com homepage, OR
c) the following text (no link) We support CarCasher.Com

While I stayed out of the last seo contest and even encouraged Search Engine Guide readers to link to GrayWolf's v7ndotcom Elursrebmem St. Jude's fundraising site and the Celiac Charity V7ndotcom Elursrebmem site, I've decided to go ahead and enter this one in the hopes that I can use carcasherdotcom seocontest as a milk bank fundraiser. As regular Search Engine Guide readers know, I used the 30 Day project as a way to help spread awareness and raise money for human milk banking, a cause very dear to my heart. Thus, I've built my own carcasherdotcom seocontest for milk banks page and will be asking that people consider linking to me as a way to show their support for human milk banking.

It will be interesting to see if the world of breastfeeding moms can take on the world of search marketers and win. I'd ask that if you've read this article, and especially if you read and enjoyed the 30 day series, that you consider adding a link to the carcasherdotcom seocontest helps breast milk banking page at the Lactivist blog.
