The KBO can be used initially with GoTo.com (other paid search engines are being planned) to save its users significant time in analyzing keywords and bidding strategies. One of its features is its ability to analyze an unlimited number of keywords and to report the bid amount for each of the top 20 bid positions along with the previous month's search request totals.

Users can be notified daily by email if their bid position has changes or if bid amount discrepancies exist. A goto.com advertiser's current keyword bids are shown in red, allowing quick and easy identification.

"This tool has already increased traffic by up to 10 times for some of our clients along with decreasing their per click cost by up to 75%," according to Jon Keel of Paid Search Engine Tools. The Keyword Bid Optimizer is a subscription-based service for one to multiple sites in keyword bid increments of 100. Once the subscriber application is completed, the KBO is immediately accessible.
