Alys Stephens Center Kids on Stage Drama Camps - [New Window] - The "Kids on Stage" drama camp is an experience that shares with children the wonder and detail of theater performance. Campers will be introduced to many aspects of theater with a variety of fun, intense classes. They can learn theater games, improvisation, warm-ups, concentration exercises, voice and diction, terminology, acting and stage production. Best of all, the children will get a chance to showcase their newly developed skills when each camp session culminates with a different musical production: session one is "Schoolhouse Rock Live! Jr."; session two is Roald Dahl's "Willy Wonka Junior"; and session three is Disney's "Aladdin Junior." The camp's big shows will be completely produced by campers. Admission to the shows is free and open to all parents and friends.

Art&Seek: Summer Acting Camp - [New Window] - students ages 6-15 will work on
warm-up techniques, dance, theatre games, 
improvisational exercises and theater crafts (makeup, props). The program will conclude with two presentations to parents and the public. All children participate in the production process (acting, stage managing, helping with the set, music, etc.); this year, students will learn about various aspects of Indonesia, especially folktales. Ages 6 to 15 Payment plans as well as discounts for families that enroll two or more children are available. All classes are taught in English and Spanish

B Street Theatre Summer Acting Camps - [New Window] - Students will be exposed to a variety of theatrical training methods: skills based exercises, improvisation, scene-study, physical and vocal warm-ups, rehearsal techniques, memorization, performance in a final showcase, and much more. All skill levels welcome. We make an effort to pair students appropriately in regards to age and skill level. Camps will be taught by B Street Theatre regular Kurt Johnson. Depending on class size, he will have the assistance other local, professional, actor/teachers.

Children's Theatre of Charlotte - [New Window] - The Art of Acting camps for rising 2nd-6th grade students offer an exciting experience focused on acting technique and script work. Campers rotate to an acting, movement and art class each day. Students rehearse with their classmates throughout the week culminating at 3:00 pm on the final camp day with a performance for family and friends.

Gamm Theatre Summer Acting Camp - [New Window] - The Gamm is pleased to offer high school students of all acting levels a summer camp experience like none other! Gamm Summer Intensive is just that: A 3-week-long, jam-packed, learn-by-doing experience under the professional direction of Gamm Education Director Steve Kidd. State Theatre Summer Acting Camp - [New Window] - The State Theatre is proud to present its Summer Acting Camp for the seventh year in a row! Consisting of 3 separate groups, Grades 4-5, Grades 6-8 and Grades 9-12, the two week course is designed to include an educationally based yet fun-filled theater experience. Each child will rotate daily between three classes (Acting, Music and Dance), learning valuable lessons and tips needed in all phases of theater. Some subjects covered include audition technique, presentation, terminology, character development, scene work, improv skills and acting games, choreography, show preparation, and musical technique.

Kids are divided by age into groups of 16 to 20 students.
