Arrowbear Music Camp - [New Window] - At Arrowbear we are proud to offer summer camp programs for youth of various ages who love to make music. We focus on creating a healthy, fun atmosphere for anyone who wants to come to the mountains and make music with others in a beautiful natural setting, but some of our alumni have also gone on to prestigious music schools and professional orchestras. A cornerstone of our program is the idea that the musical experience is enhanced by social connections between all of the campers. To this end we involve all campers in the camp activities and have a focus on group musical products. We also work the campers through other camp concerns as a group to create a large circle of friends. Our staff works hard to downplay the competetive nature of many musical and social experiences.

Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp - [New Window] - Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, a summer school of the arts located on a 1,300 acre campus in Michigan’s Manistee National Forest, offers fine arts education for all ages. The summer camp annually serves more than 5,000 gifted elementary, junior high, and high school students with diverse programs in music, art, dance, and drama while offering more than 175 performances during its Summer Arts Festival. Blue Lake also operates a widely acclaimed International Exchange Program, Adult Programs, a Suzuki Family Camp, and two public radio stations. Since its inception in 1966, Blue Lake has provided cultural enrichment to over 300,000 gifted students and countless concert-goers.

Bowling Green Summer Music Camp - [New Window] - The Summer Music Institute is a program of intensive music camps designed for high school and junior high school students, sponsored by the College of Musical Arts. Starting from two one-week music camps in 1981, the Summer Music Institute has grown to as many as nine camps each summer. A College of Musical Arts faculty member serves as the director of each camp and is responsible for staff assignments and curriculum.

Crane Youth Music - [New Window] - Crane Youth Music (CYM) was founded in 1972. To this day, CYM continues a heritage of outstanding and cost-effective musical training for young musicians, ages 12-18, throughout the eastern United States.

Elmore Fiddle Camp - [New Window] - We will be teaching classes on a variety of styles of fiddling. Texas Swing, Texas Contest, Celtic, Bluegrass and Jazz. Our teaching staff this year will be concentrating on all levels and all needs of the students. The first two days of camp all students of all levels will see each of the six main teachers. On day three classes will be more specialized as to the type of fiddling that will be taught. Day three will be the Texas Swing, Bluegrass, Celtic, Jazz and Music Theory classes. Days four and five will be workshops concentrating on Music Theory, Improvisation, Double Stops, Twin Fiddle Harmony and Solo Playing. We feel by having classroom teaching, specialty music and workshops for all levels that we can accomodate everyone and fit the needs of the level of each student.

Encore-Coda Summer Music Camp - [New Window] - At Camp Encore/Coda, it's all about bright, young musicians learning, growing and having fun together in our unique musical community.

Fresno Pacific University - [New Window] - Our summer camp offers senior high, junior high and middle school students the opportunity to study with outstanding Fresno Pacific University music faculty, music students and other Central Valley professional musicians for a week of intensive music-making and learning about music. # Students will be challenged to perform at their highest level within a nurturing environment. While the serious study of music is our major concern, we seek the development of personal responsibility, including effective practice habits, respect for one another, and conceptual learning, as opposed to mere rote learning.

Greenwood Music Camp - [New Window] - Greenwood Music Camp is a summer camp for classical musicians. The camp offers a life which combines the profound sharing and communication of the chamber music experience with a supportive family-like daily life. The camp maintains a balance of string, woodwind and piano players. All students participate in chamber music, orchestra and chorus, and are challenged and encouraged to work hard to discover the great reward of intensive, well-focused learning. Generations of Greenwooders have agreed that the extraordinarily high level of music making, combined with the warm, non-competitive atmosphere which Greenwood promotes, is unique.

Interlochen Summer Music Camp - [New Window] - Each summer more than 2,500 of the world's most talented and motivated young people come to Interlochen to live, learn and perform with an unparalleled group of peers and educators. Founded in 1928, Interlochen is the first and foremost camp of its kind, offering visual and performing arts programs for student artists in grades 3-12. Interlochen's 1,200 acre campus is located in northwestern Michigan, and is situated between two lakes. It is a setting that is beautiful, inspiring and offers many recreational and artistic opportunities.

Madeline Island Music Camp - [New Window] - Students who are grouped into chamber ensembles by ability and age will receive ensemble coaching on a daily basis as well as private lessons and individual and duo chamber music lessons in preparation for weekly master classes and concerts attended by an enthusiastic and supportive public. Madeline Island Music Camp's dedication to excellence in our faculty, program, and facilities attracts young talent from all over the nation and abroad. While the program is rigorous, our focus is on learning, exploration, fulfilling potential, and nurturing the young person as a whole. We are proud that at the end of camp, students leave not only experiencing the richness of learning and growing as musicians, but of making lifelong friendships as well.

Soundwall Rock 'N' Roll Summer Music Camp - [New Window] - Soundwall Music Camps are open to students ages 12 - 17 who have a minimum of one year playing/study experience. The camps are designed for young musicians who want to have the time-of-their-life performing music everyday with students their own age. Some of the music fundamentals we teach are: instrument technique; rock music history; basic music theory; vocal performance; band dynamics; song writing; understanding odd time signatures; developing bass and drum teamwork and how to prepare for a performance. Performing in bands Performing in a band is one of the most popular aspects of the Soundwall experience. On the first day of camp the students are grouped into bands according to their age, playing ability and the style of music they prefer to perform. Then, every day the students rehearse with their band under the guidance of our professional staff. As the students rehearse, they learn performance techniques such as: dynamics; understanding song form; how to work together in a group; communication skills and how to deliver song in a performance. The camp ends with a final concert for family and friends held in a state-of-the-art concert hall with full professional lighting and sound.

Summer Music Camp at Central Michigan University - [New Window] - Please join us for our Annual Summer Music Camp, open to all high school strings, woodwind, brass, percussion and vocal students. Students interact with CMU faculty members, perform in chamber ensembles, and participate in full orchestra or concert band in our state-of-the-art concert halls. While at Music Camp, students stay in the CMU residence halls, eat in the residential restaurant and experience college life first hand. The camp is sponsored by the School of Music and Prof Ed.

Summer Music Programs - [New Window] - Summer Music Programs was founded in 1993 in order to give young musicians an opportunity to meet and play with other musicians. We encourage them to play the songs they want to play. A member of our staff works full time with each band (sometimes composed of musicians who have never met before) to choose songs, rehearse them and prepare for their recording session as well as the weekly concert. Each musician receives an audio CD of their studio session - a first for many kids. Instrument and equipment rentals can be arranged. Summer Music Programs is located on the beautiful and historic Harcum College campus in Bryn Mawr, PA. just minutes outside of Philadelphia. Rehearsals are held on campus in air conditioned dorm rooms and recording sessions at state of the art, award winning studios.

Violin Camp - [New Window] - Spring School Violin Camp is a warm, welcoming place for young violin players. Children of all ages and levels are nurtured by professionals who are passionate about music and music-making. Daily activities include group violin classes, yoga, note reading, crafts, recess, ensemble rehearsal and script rehearsal. There are also different special events each week. Past events have been learning to dance the minuet, electric violin workshop, fiddling, demonstrations by guest violinists and student solo recitals.
