I know, I know, we just wrapped up the granddaddy of search engine marketing conferences in San Jose last week. There's no doubt that Search Engine Strategies is one of the best conferences going on in the world today. That said, it's expensive, and it can be a bit overwhelming for folks just learning about search engine marketing.
I talked to more than one person last week that was thrilled at the chance to be attending SES, but that was also having a hard time grasping the information overload that can come with attending an industry event of that size. Many of these people were just looking to learn the basics of search marketing so that they had a foundation to build on. Robert and I understand how confusing search engine marketing can be. That's why we work so hard to translate the industry for the small business market.
To that end, we've decided to team up with the great folks at The Karcher Group to bring you a search engine marketing seminar with your needs in mind. That's right. If you missed me in my pimpin' hat last week, you've got another shot at it next month.
Matt Bailey and I will be putting on an all-day search engine marketing seminar in Columbus, Ohio on Tuesday, September 27th. The seminar is aimed at helping the small business market really get a grasp on the basics of search engine marketing. We'll be trading off speaking spots from 9am to 3pm and then wrapping it up with two hours of interactive Q&A where we'll review attendee's Web sites and will offer up some specific advice and feedback.
While it was suggested to us by some that we title the seminar "Matt and Jen fight like a married couple" we decided that that wasn't the best title to sum up what we're aiming for. Instead, you'll find the full schedule and registration information for the aptly named "Search Engine Marketing Made Simple" on The Karcher Group's Web site.
Space is limited and the early bird price is just $99 and includes your lunch. Hotels are available nearby, so don't think that you need to live in the area to attend. We've priced this seminar to make it affordable for the small business market. We understand that flights and hotels aren't cheap and adding a huge fee to attend a seminar makes most search engine marketing conferences simply unaffordable to small businesses.
Hopefully this seminar is the start of many more to come, but why take that chance? Check out the schedule, book your hotel, and come visit us in Buckeye country next month.
