Hi Everyone!

Super Bowl XXXVIII is just days away and Houston is buzzing like a kid hopped-up on too much sugar. It's kinda' fun with all the events taking place, the media mayhem, and of course all the food planning. BBQ and Tex-Mex food is big here so we'll take any excuse to have a big food-fest. Although I don't have a spare $6000 to get in to see the game, we'll still have fun watching from home.

Somebody pass the jalapenos...

Have a great week!

Robert Clough

Is it worth paying to get on web directories fast?
Jim World
"Being listed in a directory that has good search engine listings will get you some targeted visitors as well as the crawl from the spiders."

Google Update
High Rankings Forum
"...when Google updates that it takes many days before sites will be where ever they will be... Your best bet is not even to look for a few more days if you have a weak stomach. A site/page missing at this moment means pretty much nothing."

Google - AdSense in your Inbox?
Cre8asite Forums
"As an advertiser I would be concerned as mass mailings could result in casual clicks with no conversions. ...If Google does go live with this, I hope there is an option to opt-out of contextual ads in emails."

Who's better - Overture or Google?
Best Practices Forums
"...which is a better value - Overture or Google? Does getting in the top 3 of Overture give you noticeably more traffic?"

Site Navigation, Organizing Categories Within Categories
High Rankings Forum
"My first problem is how to organize all my categories within categories. I don't know whether to use javascript or a text menu for navigational purposes. Any tips?"

Traffic from Google's DomainPark Program (Reg. Required)
Webmaster World
"The ads are content targeted, rather than via search. As with all ads, the intent is to provide relevant and useful information to users who are looking for it. Our data indicates that this will be worthwhile traffic, which converts in line with other Content Targeted partners. As always, actual results will vary from advertiser to advertiser, industry to industry, day to day, and so on."
