Week of 2008-06-18

Hi Everyone,

I think we all have visions of summer being about sipping lemonade, lounging in the hammock and taking naps, but then we wake up, right? Because we know you're busy working just as hard as we are, take a few minutes, put your feet up, and watch some "TV". Check out Sage's videos for a nice break in the day's monotony; he'll keep you current on what's happening in the industry.

Have a great week!

Thanks for the tips Scott, it's always nice to bring up some points that are usually forgotten or never learned in the first place.

A very nice tool to build internal linking into your wordpress blog is the related posts plugin, which I'm using on my blog. Besides that plugin, I always link manually to pages that are related to the post I've written.

And a self written "Top Posts" widget is also a very easy and useful tool to give linklove to some of your better posts.

In response to... When, Why and How to Construct a Meta Description Tag

Enjoyed your article. The one recommendation that I would add is that your description tag should include facts. It's not a place to wax poetic and try to impress your reader with jargon, big words, or meaningless fluff. Get to the point and prove to the searcher that your site has the information he/she is seeking.
