    Why Blogs Aren't Dead

    by Mike Moran

For the past couple of years, people have been asking if blogging is now dead. Now, as you read this blog post, you might expect that if I took the time to write it, I probably don't agree. And I don't. But the "blogging is dead: crowd does have a point—I just don't think the situation is as extreme as they say....

Damn it Jim, SEO is an Investment, Not an Expense!

    by Stoney deGeyter

Most investments don't give you an immediate return. SEO is no different. Many small business owners fail to understand that in order to succeed online a significant investment must be made. Gone are the days when you could throw up a website and expect to become an overnight success. Most of today's overnight business success are back by investments in time, money, resources or any combination of those.

    New Free Keyword Research Tool

    by Manoj Jasra

When conducting keyword research, it's important to look for both the deeper, mid- and long-tail variations of keywords - and also other adjacent ways of searching for similar things, such as related terms and synonyms. Last month, WordStream invited me to participate in a private beta of their Free Keyword Tool, which was released as a public beta this week. One of my favorite features is its ability to suggest related terms....

Can You Manage 5000 Blogs a Day

    by Eric Brown

There is a product that has launched recently, which is aimed currently at the multifamily, apartment owner/operator space, but may well also extend into additional industries, such as Travel, Hotels, Wine and the like, that is worth taking a look at. I expect that some of the readers and followers of this blog may be skeptical, but I am interested in hearing your feedback....

    Quickly Diagnosing Problems in Analytics

    by Manoj Jasra

If your boss is anything like mine, you don't just hand over reports and call it a week/month/quarter/etc. When traffic jumps or drops, you're asked to explain not only what happened, but why it happened. For any online marketer, this means a deep dive into your data. But how do you extract meaning from the numbers quickly?...

Sage - Great video. How many times do I hear this everyday? I would do anything? As a serial entrepreneur, I have risked it all a few times. My current company, s-go.net is my favorite of all time. And I always say that it is my last job. I will never retire, either. I have old crappy cars. My newest car is 10 years old. I also have an old pickup truck that is 16 years old. I keep a few because they are always breaking.

My current company is small, can be virtual, and can react immediately to any industry or technology change. I am helping clients immensely now in terms of search and marketing in general. I am on the wire without a safety net below. At times is is very scary, Most of the time it is a thrill of a lifetime.

I totally agree with this very comprehensive post. SEO is indeed NOT an expense but an INVESTMENT. If you want to compete in the growing and competitive world of online marketing, you are going to have spread the word about your website and make sure that potential clients can find your website. Especially when you're still new in the business world, SEO should be your top priority.
