Search engine marketing expert Shari Thurow has had a busy month. Starting the month with the publication of her new search engine optimization and marketing book, Search Engine Visibility, Thurow has since followed up with a companion Web site, SearchEnginesBook.com.

Search Engine Visibility, released by New Riders Publishing in early January 2003, teaches readers, in easy-to-understand language and with techniques that can be implemented immediately, how to design and write copy for a Web site that can be easily found by the search engines.

"Simply building a Web site is no guarantee that important target audiences will visit that site," said Thurow. "One of the primary ways in which people find Web sites is through search engines. If a Web site can be easily found by the search engines, the amount of qualified traffic it receives will greatly increase, thereby maximizing sales and other business opportunities."

Search Engine Visibility is about designing, writing and creating a web site primarily for your site's visitors, and helping them find what they are searching via the major search engines, directories, and industry related sites.

The companion Web site, SearchEnginesBook.com, features the latest information about search engine friendly design, additional resources and tips, and will provide updates to the book as needed.
