Anyone that has hung out with me at a search marketing conference knows that I don't drink. No, I'm not a recovering alcoholic, no I don't think it's morally reprehensible. I just don't drink. Sometimes...there are advantages to that.

You're likely wondering why I've brought this up. Well, I thought about it when I read Matt "I'll have a Sprite" Cutts' blog post yesterday. Matt and a few well-known SEM's had a chance to do a little chatting last week and ended up having some conversations with Larry and Sergey in the halls of the Googleplex. Now we all know that neither side of the table was going to share any more than they wanted to, but anyone who knows Matt or Dave N can guess that it had to make for an interesting conversation. This is why it pays to hang out in the dark corners at the parties instead of wedging your way into the center of the crowd.
