While the Google Dance has been going on for four years now, the 2005 event has managed to generate some great publicity for Google. From a bay of video games to a 15 foot beer stein, Google threw another bash to be remembered.
Pictures of the 2005 Google Dance have now been posted at the Google site. In addition, last week I blogged about the late night conversations that went on at the Googleplex. It seems that over the weekend, CNN saw fit to add their take to the mix by posting a story about the party and the dance that occurs between webmasters and Google engineers. The article even made mention of the infamous couch prank from a few years back.
While many that attended the event had to give props to Yahoo! for their smashing success of a party, (can you really beat all the coasters you can ride with no lines?) the news of what happens when Google invites search marketers over for dinner and drinks is likely to generate news for at least a little longer. Kinda makes you wonder if that late night chat was planned all along. An hour of conversation in exchange for tons of online press? Sounds fair to me...
