While the search engine marketing industry has been working on sites for nearly a decade, it's only been in the past few years that the marketing world and businesses as a whole have started to gain interest in it. Sometimes its nice to get a little bit of insight from someone on the inside.
There's an interesting interview with Terrence Gordon over at Google Blogoscoped. Gordon is the founder and CEO of Performance SEO and has worked in the industry since 2000.
I don't often post links to interviews, but this one has some good insight into the industry for people new to the idea of search engine marketing. Find out how an experienced search engine marketer thinks the industry has changed over the years, what he thinks of the ongoing white hat/black hat debate and which engines he thinks search marketers should be focused on.
