For those seeking even more information about the current state of New Orleans, Google has updated their satellite map images to show The Big Easy from space before the hurricane and after the hurricane.

Danny Sullivan has a great post outlining the new images and the way to get access to them in the Search Engine Watch blog. He's also got information on the Katrina victim finder sites.

For those that prefer to hear the news by blog, I stumbled across The Interdictor blog over the weekend. The effort of some IT fellows that are blogging live from a building in downtown New Orleans, it provides an inside view (and live web cams) of what's going on in the aftermath of Katrina.
