There's good news for small businesses that are being proactive in learning about and testing online paid advertising for the local search market. Two new studies show that local online advertising is poised for double digit growth for the next several years.
Some interesting groups are leading the charge to local online advertising with savvy use of pay-per-click listings. For example, run a search on Google for "Dallas church" and you'll find five local churches running AdWords ads. A search for "Seattle dj" also shows a solid number of listings from businesses looking to capitalize on that niche market.
If you're not already looking into ways to make your business more visible in the online local market, you need to start thinking through your strategy for next year.
