Yesterday, American Online launched a new suite of mobile search tools designed to help users access yellow page services, shopping search and AOL's main search from their cell phones and PDAs. AOL's mobile search content goes beyond WAP-enabled pages and allows for search and use of all the content in their databases. Search results are automatically formatted for cell phone screens.
AOL's mobile PinPoint Shopping service allows for comparison shopping, product reviews and merchant reputations, allowing users to double check product specs and even competitive pricing information before they make an in-store purchase.
"We are committed to providing people everywhere with easy access to the Web's full range of information services wherever they may go" said Jim Riesenbach, senior vice president, AOL Search. "AOL Mobile Search services give consumers the power to search or shop for anything they need via Web-enabled cell phone, Smartphone or PDA."
Mobile users can access the AOL Mobile Search Services at http://mobile.aolsearch.com
