Frustrated by the fact that your cell phone is web-enabled but most sites aren't cell-enabled? Google's looking to solve that, at least on some level. Google announced earlier today that it had added a cell-phone friendly version of it's popular search engine.

Announced on the Google Blog, the new personalized home page for cell phone users allows for quick access to web search, email, weather reports and more.

"A phone is a device you carry with you all the time," said Deep Nishar, Google's product manager for wireless services, in a phone interview. "It is really an extension of people's personalities. We feel that is very important that the information you care about is just one click away."

The race to capture the mobile phone search market has been heated recently. T-Mobile has already announced that they'll be using Google as the default for their German customers and just last week Google struck a deal with Motorola. Just last week, chief competitor Yahoo! announced their own deal with Nokia and Motorola to pre install customized versions of Yahoo! mobile products on select phones.
