We've noticed over the past year or so that thanks to the growth of the Small Business Ideas forum, Search Engine Guide has seen an influx of new readers that are still learning the very basics of search marketing. To that end, I'll be starting a new series of "Search Marketing 101" article that we can build into a database to point new users to. I'd love to hear your feedback on what topics you'd like to see covered.

I'll obviously cover things like what a link is, why your Title tag is important, how to do keyword research and so on...but I'll also cover topics like what the difference is between a search engine and a directory and why you need to make sure that you are showing up in both of them.

Feel free to drop me an email at jennifer at searchengineguide dot com to let me know what you'd like to read some basic level articles about.

Veteran readers and search marketers need have no fear about this series. This is a long term project that will likely see the addition of one new SEM 101 article per week. The rest of the time, I'll still be covering the same things that I cover now.
