Last July I attended the Search Engine Strategies conference in San Jose. As I noted to my own blog readers I've been in the SEO business almost ten years and that was my first SES conference and only my second industry related conference which was at least five years ago. I really enjoyed going and plan to attend at least one per year, if not more.

But now that I got the conference bug I decided to head on over to PubCon in Las Vegas, November 14-16. I'll be going on behalf of Search Engine Guide, but if you think its just because I got my free "press pass", well you'd be right, initially.

An online buddy of mine has been trying to get me to go to PubCon since SES and while I was interested, having just returned from SES I made no plans to leave the office for another week. It's not that I don't think my team can hold the office together without me, its just that I'm a control freak and I need me here! But once I got offered the press pass something else happened as well. I took a look at the PubCon website and realized that this is a gig very much worth attending. Not only will I be there, but I'll be bringing my entire office team with me as well! There is enough going on to keep us all pretty busy.

PubCon Vegas has a line up of over 100 speakers including Aaron Wall, Rand Fishkin, Danny Sullivan, Todd Malicoat, Jennifer Slegg, Lee Oden and dozens of other names you'd recognize if I listed them here. And there is no shortage of sessions to attend either.

Online registration only costs $494 per person. That's a pretty slim price compared to many of the other SEM conferences out there. If you've been wanting to get out to one of these large conferences but the costs have been preventative, check out the PubCon website. Can you think of a better excuse to make a trip to Vegas!
