Fathom Online's latest update to their Keyword Price Index shows that the average cost of a keyword phrase on a paid search advertising campaign rose to $1.51 in the fourth quarter of 2006. That's up from $1.45 as the average price in the fourth quarter of 2005. Overall, not a bad increase which may show that things are starting to level out a bit.
