Bringing SEM In-house
Cre8asite Forums - "To replace an established SEM agency, you're probably looking at hiring an SEO, a person to manage PPC, a talented designer (if you don't already have one), and a web developer ... and then managing the process of getting them all to work as a cohesive unit (something that the agency has already accomplished)."
SEO Training
High Rankings Forum - "I have seen a program from the SEO college and was wondering if this is something I should look into or find other means of furthering my career. If anyone has any friendly advice, please let me know."

Google Lifts The Veil On Links ... A Little
Cre8asite Forums - "A post on the Google Webmaster Central Blog reveals that you can now learn more about the links that Google has indexed for your own site if you go to Google Webmaster Central. Bidding on someone else's trademark
High Rankings Forum - "I know how some people here feel about it, but so far the legal precedents say that it's ok as long as you are not creating confusion by representing yourself as that trademark. Google's policy is that you can't place the trademarked term in your ad copy, but bidding on the term is acceptable (read 'between you and the trademark holder'). They have won repeatedly in court over this."
Confused About Nofollow? So Is Google!
High Rankings Forum - "Did you know that Google supposedly doesn't crawl nofollows? My
understanding was that they are to be used for untrusted links, not to keep Google's spider out of places. (There are already tags/attributes for that.) However, Google seems to keep changing what they want to use the nofollow attribute for."
