David Wallace has an amusing post on his blog that talks about the problems with "borrowing" (re: stealing) things like templates and images without asking permission. Apparently, Senator John McCain's web staff used a popular template and failed to credit the designer. Apparently, the site that was still hosting many of the images was not amused.

You'll have to visit David's site to pick up the images (I wouldn't want to "borrow them") but what happened is this:

...some of the images are still hosted on the Newsvine server, meaning that they have to pay for the bandwidth used from page views on McCain’s site.

Therefore Mike Davidson, founder and CEO of Newsvine decided to play a prank. Seeing that he had control over some of the images, he replaced one that shows contact information with a statement:

Today I announce that I have reversed my position and come out in full support of gay marriage...particularly marriage between two passionate females.

Newsvine has the full story, titled "Hacking John McCain."
