Apparently at least two people out there like me... Wendy Piersall so kindly included me in her "Ten Hottest Moms in Search Marketing" post over at eMoms at Home blog and now DazzlinDonna has tagged me in "Why I Blog, the latest blog meme to head through cyberspace.

So, the five reasons that I blog...

1.) Because the search world is still small and most of my friends and family get REALLY tired of hearing about this stuff. I've got to be able to think out loud to someone, so Search Engine Guide readers end up on the receiving end.

2.) Because sometimes I'm too lazy to write an article. Articles are wonder, but sometimes you just want to point someone toward something that someone else wrote and add your own thoughts to the mix. Blogging allows me to share snippets instead of novellas.

3.) Because not enough people focus on the common sense side of online marketing and someone has to be out there shouting "slow down! slow down! Digg is NOT a marketing strategy!" As long as you understand the basic concepts of how different marketing channels work, I've always firmly believed that creativity and common sense were the keys to online marketing. I can't supply the creativity, but I can help explain how the channels work and I can encourage the common sense.

4.) Because it pays the bills.

5.) Because I learned everything I know through discussion forums and articles. The people that came before me where kind enough to share their knowledge and that helped me create a career while maintaining amazing flexibility. It's what allows me to work a job I love while staying at home to raise my children. If I can help someone else do the same thing, then blogging is totally worth it.

So...who to tag, who to tag...How about...

Matt McGee, Wendy Piersall, Stoney deGeyter and Paul Jahn.
